A site of self-reflection and learning, the museum challenges all of us to imagine a more equitable criminal justice system and to take action toward building a more just society.
Through its exhibitions, collections and programs, the SSPM will explore historical and contemporary issues about criminal justice and their social, political and cultural impact.The Museum will tell the story of 200 years of mass incarceration at Sing Sing Prison and serve as a gateway to the larger story of incarceration at prisons in the US and in other countries."
